From an Unhappy Customer

Recently ordered 13 windows from Renewal by Anderson and I’m very pleased with the quality of the product. I’m sure the windows will live up to their projected life and effectiveness. BUT, the representations of the salesperson and the quality of the customer service don’t come close to the quality of the windows. From the “Oh my customers have been getting their windows installed in around 4 weeks” to “our install crews put down tarps on everything, then vacuum the floors and wash all the windows before leaving” comments, turned out to be nothing but salesperson rhetoric. It took 8 weeks to get them installed and although some effort was made by the install crew to clean up when they were done, I still had to vacuum after they left to maintain a clean environment; I also had to wash ALL the windows myself. Now we get to the BIG problem, it seems that someone had ordered the wrong bay window unit. We had ordered one with double hung side lights and factory order was for casement side lights. I was told by the install crew that this would take 2 to 3 weeks to get a new unit, well that will take 5 weeks for the reinstall. 10 days after this issue was identified I made attempts to contact 1st the salesperson and then the area sales manager by phone and e-mail to find out how long this was going to take. I did this again 4 days later, again with no response. I finally did reach someone in the Quality Care department, followed by a return e-mail from the area sales manager the stated the window would be available in 2 weeks and could be installed the next day. This was followed by a call from the salesperson with apologies and more salesperson rhetoric. When asked why they had not responded both used the foolish response “well I didn’t get the call or e-mail”. Come now; is that the way to run a business?
