Renewal by Andersen won't come to the house if both homeowners aren't there
I recently called them to come replace a sliding door and an adjoining window - very simple job. In order to set up an appointment I was told that both my husband and I needed to be there when the salesman came. I explained that my husband not only works long hours, but that I am in charge of all decision-making when it comes to the house. (The last thing my husband wants to do when he is home is talk to someone about replacing one door and one window.) She was adamant that no appointment could be made, so I told her I couldn't do business with them then. Ridiculous!

0 I had the same issue. I am a single attorney, and the person that answered my call kept demanding that "all decision maker's be present." I finally figured out that he was trying to suggest my husband be present, as if I had one, or needed another party to make a decision on my own home. It was offensive at best. As it turns out, I had a number of other bidders who I was more than happy to use, and didn't demand that "a decision maker" besides me be present for their presentation.
0 I had the same issue and we complied. My wife cut Her shopping day short and came home early. Guess What? Renewal never showed, never called, nothing until three days later they wished to reschedule!
You can only guess what I told them! They continued to call back until I explicitly told them to "Add my number to their do not call list".
